How to add an emailaccount to Gmail

  1. Log in to your Gmail account through the Gmail website (www.gmail.com).
  2. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Go to the "Accounts and Import" tab at the top of the settings menu.
  4. Under the "Send mail as" section, click on the "Add another email address" link.

  5. A new pop-up window will open. Enter your name in the "Name" field and enter the email address you want to add.
  6. Click the "Next step" button.

  7. When prompted for the "SMTP server," enter the outgoing mail server as "yourdomainname.com."
  8. Choose the port number for the SMTP server as 465.
  9. Enter your username (the email address) and password.
  10. Select the option "Use a secure connection (SSL)" This will ensure an encrypted connection when sending emails.
  11. Click the "Add Account" button.

  12. Gmail will send a verification email to the provided email address. Open the email and follow the instructions to complete the verification.

  13. After verification, you can use the added email address within Gmail.
